Why do Asthma people need to make regular follow-ups with the PEF and FEV1

  1. Monitoring Lung Function: PEF and FEV1 measurements present lung function, it provides information to the asthmatics and health providers about how well the lungs are. Regular Asthma control and management require individuals to test and follow their breathing flow conditions by using the peak flow meter in the morning and evening regularly for Asthma prediction. These parameters provide valuable information to monitor and track changes and Asthma acute attacks, as well as over time. It also serves as a basis for the physician’s and Asthma nurse’s medication and disease management.

Symptoms For Early Detection: Regular measurements detect the early lung and breathing changes. Before the symptoms appear, Asthma patients can get advanced notice, which allows the intervention and medication & treatment adjustments ahead of the emergency.

For Treatment Efficiency: It serves as the basis of the medication plans and adjustments for doctors. Health providers can be effectively working on the medication and treatment adjustments.

Knowing Personal Disease control: The parameters are the presentation of Asthma personal control, helps understand the regular Asthma homecare, triggers, symptoms, medication management, and how to monitor Asthma attacks. Following regular monitoring at home can be a way to work together with health providers to get the Asthma trends.

Preventing Asthma Crisis: By monitoring and identifying triggers and symptoms that may make your asthma worse, you can take preventative steps to avoid potential triggers and better control your asthma.
